This is an analysis of San Francisco Fire Department data summarizing fire-related deaths or injuries occurring between 2003 and 2025 in buildings affected by the sprinkler retrofit mandate. Among its findings: There have been no fire-related deaths (either occupants/civilians or SFFD Firefighters) in any of the affected buildings.
